Nathan Kaeding joined Sanford Sports Academy in 2021 after 14 years of coaching college basketball at Southwest Minnesota State University, Montana State University – Billings, the University of Sioux Falls and the University of North Dakota. He is a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

At Sanford Sports Academy, Kaeding enjoys helping young basketball players chase their goals and dreams while also helping them grow as people. He believes getting to know the athletes and their families is an important part of being a coach.

Kaeding is transparent and direct with his players and provides them with detailed feedback. He likes working in high-energy, fast-paced environments where everybody knows their expectations. He also appreciates working with like-minded coaches who make every day fun.

In high school, Kaeding was a multi-sport athlete who participated in basketball, football and track and field at Fargo South High School. He attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he played basketball and received bachelor’s degrees in accounting and business administration. He also has a master’s degree in business administration.
