
Eric Ihde
High school and collegiate strength coachEric Ihde started working as a coach at Sanford Sports in 2024.
Ihde began his coaching career through summer internships at Tulane University, Tarleton State University and the University of Wisconsin. He interned at Upper Iowa University while completing his bachelor’s degree and playing football. Ihde was a graduate assistant at North Dakota State University and worked directly with the football team.
Ihde describes his coaching style as intense, compassionate and personable. He wears his emotions on his sleeve and strives to uplift athletes, push them past their doubts and instill confidence in their daily workouts.
Ihde enjoys working at Sanford Sports because it allows him the opportunity to work with a wide variety of high school and collegiate athletes. He appreciates working alongside a robust strength and conditioning staff featuring coaches with a variety of backgrounds and experience.
Ihde holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport studies with an emphasis in fitness and wellness and a minor in biology. He also earned a master’s degree in health, nutrition and exercise science. is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and holds a level one certification from USA Weightlifting.
