Sam Vosler
Sports Academy Manager – GolfSam Vosler joined Sanford Sports Academy in 2019 and became a manager in 2023. He began teaching golf in 2012 and has since coached at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, the University of Sioux Falls and other organizations. As the director of golf at USF, Vosler led the men’s and women’s golf programs from 2018 to 2019. Golf Digest magazine named him a top teacher in South Dakota several years running.
Vosler sees each athlete as an individual with a different set of physical and mental skills. Based on these skills, he builds a road map to help golfers reach their goals. Vosler also uses a holistic approach to coaching focused on the athlete’s well-being in addition to their performance.
His favorite part of coaching is getting to know the golfers on a deeper level and caring for them as more than just athletes. Vosler believes the best gift he can receive from his athletes is trust. He also enjoys working with like-minded coaches who have the well-rounded skillsets needed to give every athlete the best experience possible in a safe, fun and competitive environment.
Vosler played golf at Spearfish High School from 2004 to 2007 and he started working as a PGA Professional in 2014. He is an award-winning, PGA-certified coach.
